Teaching:
Supervision of MSc/BSc theses in International Economics.

Research interests:
International Macroeconomics, Business Cycles, DSGE Models, Financial Market Frictions, Monetary and Fiscal Policy.

PhD project:
Markus Kirchner's PhD project focuses on the role of financial frictions in DSGE models, and their implications for monetary and fiscal policy specifically in emerging market economies. His supervisors are Sweder van Wijnbergen and Andreas Schabert.

Short Bio:
Markus Kirchner obtained his MPhil (Macroeconomics, Econometrics) from the Tinbergen Institute. He also holds an MSc degree (International Economics, Monetary Economics) from the University of Amsterdam, and a BA degree (European Economic Studies) from the University of Bamberg, Germany.
