How to get to the MInt department by cab

• Make sure to have the street address. If the cab driver needs some hints you can tell him that the Valckenierstraat is a side street of the Sarphatistraat in between the Roetersstraat and the Tropenmuseum (Museum of the Tropics).
• Please note that the University of Amsterdam is spread all over the city, you need the address!

Public transport from the airport to Amsterdam

From the airport, there is an excellent cheap train connection to Amsterdam central station. It takes 15 to 20 minutes.

• Take any metro from central station and get out at Weesperplein (the third stop - less than 10 minutes)
• Take the Sarphatistraat-Roetersstraat exit (point on the map)
• When you get outside follow the tram east along Sarphatistraat (the highest building at this crossing is Sarphatiplaza on the south-west corner)
• Follow this street east. The first street on your left is the Roetersstraat with the bookstore at the corner. Just continue in the same direction.
• The second street on your left is Pancrasstraat, a small street/alley. Turn left into Pancrasstreet and turn right after around 30 meters; you are now facing the J/K building in which MInt is located (see pic at the bottom of the page)
• If you miss the alley then simply turn left into the Valckenierstraat and walk back a bit

How to get to the MInt office on the 2nd floor

• You have to ring the bell at the main entrance to enter the building; main entrance is the one closest to the alley.
• The department office is on the second floor, room J/K 2.63; MInt faculty is located on the first floor.
